About me

Ariana Milman, ND, LMHC (she/her/hers)

I provide strength-based care to support individuals and communities in living more vibrant and values-aligned lives.

I obtained a BA in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity at Stanford University.  After working for several years in community organizing, sustainable agriculture, and environmental health and justice, I completed my pre-medicine requirements at Pasadena City College and decided to study naturopathic medicine at Bastyr University. Because of my personal interest in mental health, I pursued additional training in this area and graduated with an MA in Counseling Psychology and a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine.

My postgraduate clinical experience includes counseling students at community college counseling centers, offering behavioral health services in English and Spanish at a rural health clinic, and providing therapy in a group practice focused on healing distress with food and body.

My therapeutic approach is trauma informed and emphasizes caring for the whole person, reducing and repairing harm, and honoring the body's innate capacity to heal. I recognize that systems of oppression—for example, racism, anti-trans bias, anti-fat bias, and ableism—harm mental and physical health.

I am a white, Ashkenazi Jewish, queer, cisgender woman. I prioritize reading fiction, being in nature, singing, swimming, building community, and sustaining meaningful relationships.
