Services

Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic medicine is a holistic and preventative approach to health that emphasizes the body’s innate ability to heal and the importance of understanding the root cause of dis(ease) and dysfunction.

Naturopathic physicians are fundamentally guided by six core principles.

This is what they mean in my practice.

●       First, do no harm means that we use treatments that are safe and effective.

●       The healing power of nature acknowledges the body’s capacity to heal.

●       Treat the cause seeks to understand why a person has symptoms or a health condition.

●       Treat the whole requires connecting the various systems of the body as well as our relationship to our communities and the natural world.

●       Doctor as teacher means providing patients with information about various health options, and explaining why they are indicated.

●       Prevention means making changes in our lives so that we support optimal health.

Counseling

Counseling is the core naturopathic treatment I offer at my practice. Counselors work with all types of people to support changes and growth throughout the lifespan.

Who might benefit from counseling?

Many people come to counseling because they are stuck, and want help. They might be dealing with a problem in a friendship, romantic relationship, or in the workplace. They might have feelings of sadness, loneliness, or anger that they aren’t able to share with friends or loved ones, or perhaps they’d like to develop new insight about their emotions. People come to counseling when they are ready to make a change in their lives and orient to stressors in more adaptive ways.
